The room pictures was the library that used to primarily hold books for the School of Art. Its contents were later moved to a combined art and architecture library on the upper floor of Steinberg Hall. This became the 3D workshop

Professors often hosted live drawing sessions in studios like these, with levels for students to stand on and a stage onto which the model stood.

One of the 4 foundations classes required for all Sam Fox BFA majors is 3D design, which takes place in this woodwork shop.

Before walls were installed, individual student studios were divided with bedsheets and blankets.
