Lower level

The lower level of Bixby Hall houses numerous faculty offices as well as Fashion Studios. The Hall is often lined with mannequins and the thumbnails of a lot of students' work.

This floor served a completely different purpose earlier. The St. Louis School of Art was divided among many buildings, some of which were all the way downtown. Professor Pike explains that trolleys would transport students from downtown buildings and other neighborhoods, dropping them off at Skinker Blvd. This floor served as the commuter's hub. It included a kitchen so the commuters could prepare hot lunches when needed. It also contained restrooms and showering facilities for both men and women (West and East, respectively). This allowed students to leave their dirty work clothes and change before going home.
